Chemical Modifications and Applications of Cashew Byproducts - A Selective Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
The cashew (Anacardium occidentale) is a tropical flowering tree that generates globally over 4 million metric tons of nuts year. Although the nut most well-known product, other byproducts can produce additional value, including apples, nutshell liquid, cardanol, and gum. Over years, fair amount R&D has been done on in order to increase their value for different applications. In stimulate further interest use these products, selective review applications chemical modifications this Review. A particular emphasis made recent publications by authors gum cardanol derivatives show how specific polymer reactions (e.g., ene reaction, aminohydrin formation, amine-formaldehyde polysaccharide ether ester formation) physical processes blending, complex coacervation, microencapsulation, electrospraying) enhance properties agro-based materials.

testing plays a vital role in any language teaching program. it allows teachers and stakeholders, including program administrators, parents, admissions officers and prospective employers to be assured that the learners are progressing according to an accepted standard (douglas, 2010). the problems currently facing language testers have both practical and theoretical implications but the first i...
Role, metabolism, chemical modifications and applications of hyaluronan.
Hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid, HA) is a linear naturally occurring polysaccharide formed from repeating disaccharide units of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and D-glucuronate. Despite its relatively simple structure, HA is an extraordinarily versatile glycosaminoglycan currently receiving attention across a wide front of research areas. It has a very high molar mass, usually in the order of millions of D...
متن کاملSelective Chemical Labeling of Natural T Modifications in DNA
We present a chemical method to selectively tag and enrich thymine modifications, 5-formyluracil (5-fU) and 5-hydroxymethyluracil (5-hmU), found naturally in DNA. Inherent reactivity differences have enabled us to tag 5-fU chemoselectively over its C modification counterpart, 5-formylcytosine (5-fC). We rationalized the enhanced reactivity of 5-fU compared to 5-fC via ab initio quantum mechanic...
متن کاملA Review on Isolation and Identification of Endophytic Actinobacteria, Their Chemical Structure, Bioactive Compounds, and Potential Medical-Pharmaceutical Applications
Over recent years, nosocomial infections, and the morbidity and mortality associated with pathogenic bacteria have dramatically increased due to antibiotic resistance and imposed significant burdens on the global health system. Critical shortage of effective therapeutics against multidrug-resistant bacteria highlights the need for development of novel antibiotics. Actinobacteria are well-known...
متن کاملStatus and potential of herbal applications in aquaculture: A review
Disease are recognized as one of the major constraint to sustainable animal production which can cause significant economic loss especially in aquaculture. Various chemotherapeutic agents have been traditionally used in the treatment and prevention of diseases in farmed fish but they are not recommended since improper and continuous use of antibiotics may lead to potential development of antibi...
